Last week the SyncStrength team presented some of their sports analytics at a Boston Quantified Self (QS) meeting.  The global quantified self community consists of users and tool makers who have a shared interest in self knowledge through self tracking.

After connecting at one of the QS informal networking events, a few of us thought, how can we take this a step further? Quantified Selfers are DOers, and here in Boston, there are countless resources for innovators to connect, share ideas, and take action…and so we decided to create the Quantified Self: Ideas to Action Event.

The goal for this event was to inspire ideas, initiatives, experiments, and potentially even business concepts by way of self tracking. Kevin and I presented some of SyncStrength’s plans for data visualization. The larger group then provided valuable insight and feedback into ways they like to present and visualize data. This naturally led into a brainstorming session for the best tools available for presenting both complex and simple health and performance related data sets.

We want to thank Justin Mendelson and the QS community for the opportunity to Team Up on some of our work.  We look forward implementing the feedback we gained into some of our future product designs.
